We will use a variety of plastic bags in life, so what are the plastic bag materials?

There are many materials used in plastic bags, the most common and most often used in life are PE, PO, PP, OPP, EVA, PVC, CPE, PPE

The more complex composite bags used in the field of materials are more extensive.

There are

①KOP (coated biaxially oriented polypropylene)

②MATOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene matte film)

③PCO (double-sided or single-sided heat-sealed biaxially oriented polypropylene)

④PL (biaxially oriented polypropylene pearlescent film)

⑤PET (polyethylene terephthalate film)

⑥KPET (coated polyethylene terephthalate film)

⑦NY (nylon)

⑧AL (aluminum foil)

⑨PE (polyethylene)

⑩CPP (unoriented polypropylene)

⑪VMCPP (aluminized unoriented polypropylene)

⑫VMPET (aluminized polyethylene film)

Commonly used plastic bag material characteristics

 1. PE (polyethylene)

PE (polyethylene, the scientific name of polyethylene) is a thermoplastic resin made by the polymerization of ethylene. The industry also includes ethylene and a small amount of alpha-olefin copolymers. Polyethylene is odorless, non-toxic, feel like wax, and has excellent low-temperature resistance.

PE material in the field of packaging bags is divided into two kinds, one is LDPE (low-density high pressure), the other is HDPE (high-density low pressure).

The bags produced with LDPE have a soft and smooth texture, and high transparency, and are widely used, usually for garment packaging bags, such as plastic tote bags, plastic zipper bags and other bags commonly used in the field of clothing. Usually, we will make the bags made of LDPE become PE bags.

2. PO (high-density polyethylene)

PO is actually PE material, HDPE is more commonly known as.

PO material is made of bags with a more complex texture, brittle, and rubbing up sound, the market use PO material more as takeaway or hotel bag, and there are shopping malls and supermarkets with undershirt bag. Of course, there are many clothing brands and tobacco, wine, and tea brands that use PO material made of PO plastic tote bags, first of all, the price is cheaper than paper bags, followed by the texture will not be much lower than paper bags.

3. PP (polypropylene)

PP bags are stretchy polypropylene plastic. Characterized by non-toxic, tasteless, smooth, and transparent surfaces.

PP is a material with high transparency, commonly used in the production of flat pockets and self-adhesive bags, mainly used in the stationery, electronics, hardware, and clothing fields.

PP material produces bags with high transparency so that consumers can clearly see the goods packed in the bag, and the cost is low, is the first choice for light and small goods packaging.

4. OPP (oriented polypropylene)

OPP is oriented oriented polypropylene material, with high transparency, more brittle, and other characteristics.

It is easy to use and beautiful, widely used in a garment, food, printing, stationery, cosmetics, paper, and other industries. It can also print patterns and punch butterfly and airplane holes according to customers' needs.

In the commonly used plastic bag material, the material is the most brittle, has the highest transparency, tensile force is not enough, but the easiest to burst the mouth, and the printing is the easiest to decolorize. If there is no gap is difficult to tear, but with a little gap can be torn without any force.

5. CPE

CPE material was once also known as EVA but compared to the traditional EVA, CPE is usually used in the thickness of thin, and frosted texture, transparency in the commonly used materials is the lowest.

Usually, CPE material will be used for clothing zipper bags and stationery zipper bags packaging, electronic products are also utilized CPE as internal dustproof packaging.

CPE is non-toxic, does not contain heavy metals, and PAHS is in full compliance with environmental requirements. Therefore, it has gained wide use.
